A man in his 80s died from complications related to COVID-19, the La Salle County Health Department announced Thursday.

It is the 110th COVID-19 related death in La Salle County.

The health department also announced 130 new cases, bringing the total in the county to 5,178 since the start of the pandemic.

The new cases were one male under 13, four females under 13, three male teenagers, eight female teenagers, 12 males in their 20s, 10 females in their 20s, six males in their 30s, 10 females in their 30s, three males in their 40s, 16 females in their 40s, nine males in their 50s, 10 females in their 50s, nine males in their 60s, 11 females in their 60s, five males in their 70s, six females in their 70s, a male in his 80s, four females in their 80s and two females in their 90s.

There also was seven new recovered cases, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,767
