Ottawa

Nicholas M. Lewis, 19, Marseilles, was arrested Sunday on the 2300 block of Columbus Street on a La Salle County warrant for a charge of battery. Lewis was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Donnie M. Thompson, 47, Ottawa, was arrested Sunday on the 800 block of West Marquette Street on a complaint of domestic battery. Thompson was released with a court date.

Taylor M. McLemore, 26, Marseilles, was cited Sunday on the 2300 block of Columbus Street on complaints of driving while license suspended and operating a vehicle with registration suspended for mandatory insurance. McLemore was released with a court date.

Anthellione D. Spencer, 28, Chicago, was cited Sunday on the 400 block of East Main Street on complaints of driving while license suspended and speeding. Spencer was released with a court date.

Mariya Y. Smith, 25, Ottawa, was cited Sunday on the 300 block of West Stevenson Road on complaints of driving while license suspended and no insurance. Smith was released with a court date.

David Kerwell, 32, Ottawa, was arrested Saturday on the 400 block of Fourth Avenue on a complaint of domestic battery. Kerwell was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Joseph S. Guzman, 30, Woodridge, was arrested Saturday on the 900 block of Hitt Street on complaints of DUI, driving while license suspended, disobeying a traffic control device, and no insurance. Guzman was released with a court date.

Donald L. Renz, 63, Ottawa, was arrested Saturday on the 1100 block of East Norris Drive on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant on a charge of filing a false report. Renz was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Michael C. Davis, 42, Ottawa, was arrested Saturday at First Avenue and East McKinley Road on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant on a criminal damage to property charge. Davis was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Brandon L. Schober, 32, Ottawa, was arrested Saturday in the Dollar Tree parking lot on complaints of leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give info unattended vehicle, no valid driver's license and a warrant for a burglary charge. Schober was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Cheyenne Donnelly, 21, Marseilles, was arrested Saturday on the 700 block of East Joliet Street on complaints of DUI, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol by driver. Donnelly posted $100 and her driver's license and was released with a court date.

Arthur R. Williams Jr., 55, Ottawa, was arrested Saturday on the 1100 block of Pine Street on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant on traffic charges. Williams was released with a court date.

Nathan R. Svobodo, 23, Ottawa, was arrested Friday on the 100 block of West Marquette Street on a complaint of unlawful use of a weapon. Svobodo was released with a court date.

Joseph P. Baines, 46, Ottawa, was arrested Friday on the 200 block of Cactus Street on a complaint of domestic battery. Baines was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Streator

At 9:54 p.m., police received a report an unknown person entered an unlocked storage building on the 900 block of East Main Street and took unknown items.

La Salle County

Wayne Yano, 32, DeKalb, was arrested 9:11 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of West Hall Street in Leland on a complaint of domestic battery. Yano was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Tyler Debolt, 26, Marseilles, was arrested 3:32 a.m. Sunday at East 24th Road and North 2950th Road on complaints of DUI and improper lane usage. Debolt was released with a court date.

Jennifer Price, 28, Lockport, was arrested 5:28 a.m. Sunday at North 30th Road and East 2575th Road on complaints of DUI and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Price was released with a court date.

Tyler Cozzi, 28, Mokena, was cited 6:15 a.m. Sunday at North 30th Road and East 2575th Road on complaints of driving while license suspended and unlawful display on a vehicle license plate. Cozzi was released with a court date.

Fire calls

Ottawa firefighters responded 11:25 a.m. Friday to 400 E. Washington St. for an alarm activated by cooking odors.

At 6:52 a.m. Friday, Ottawa firefighters responded to a tent on fire at Albin-Stevens Drive. The owner of the tent said he was camping there while working in town and returned from work to find his property had been set on fire while he was gone. Firefighters extinguished the small fire that was still smoldering with a watering can. Police are investigating the incident.

Ottawa firefighters responded 7:13 p.m. Friday to 906 Canal St. for an alarm activated by cooking odors.

At 8:53 a.m. Sunday, Ottawa firefighters responded to 505 College Ave. for an alarm activated by cooking odors.
