A four-day garage sale will begin Wednesday at the former Utica Grade School to support the family of principal Melanie Lukacsy, whose daughter suffers from a congenital heart disorder.
The fundraiser sale runs 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the former Waltham South School, just west of downtown Utica.
The event includes a 50-50 raffle. Any items purchased noon to 5 p.m. Saturday are half off or $5 to fill a bag.
All proceeds will help the Lukacsy family defray medical costs for daughter Ava Kate Lukacscy, born in August 2019 with a rare combination of complex congenital heart defects who has already undergone a pair of open-heart surgeries.
