The Poco a Poco Festival will have an overview montage available at 7 p.m. Tuesday on YouTube, capping off its fourth year of music education in Streator.
This year’s event had to be conducted in a different format, stretching from June 15 through June 30 and being hosted online through Zoom.
Executive Director Kate Tombaugh said she had planned changes to keep the program successful even though it’s been a difficult year.
The young musicians received private lessons in voice, music theory and sight singing, while also attending classes in German and Italian diction, vocal health and anatomy, composition and musical theater, according to a Tuesday news release.
Organizers plan on having second and third segments of the festival in September and October, but exact dates have yet to be decided in anticipation of future state and health recommendations and guidelines.
A link will be available on both the website and the Facebook page.
