A Livingston County teenager tested positive for COVID-19.
Health officials are working with the Illinois Department of Public Health and have investigated and notified any individuals who may have had exposure to the teen who tested positive for COVID-19.
As of Sunday, the county health department has received 2,329 COVID-19 test results. Of those, 45 COVID-19 tests have been confirmed positive, 2,284 tests confirmed negative, 36 of the previously reported confirmed cases have been removed from isolation, two individuals have died from complications related to COVID-19, meaning seven cases remain active. Of those individuals who have tested positive, nine were asymptomatic at the time of testing.
Eighteen confirmed cases out of 866 tests are linked to the Pontiac zip code area; 11 cases out of 315 tests are from the Dwight zip code area; and six cases out of 403 tests are from the Fairbury zip code area. Streator's zip code area, which is partially in Livingston County, has had 7 cases out of 1,071 tests.
