Prairie Transportation amended its agreement with the city of Streator to allow for the placement of a truck scale on the access road leading to the sand loading site that lies on the city right-of-way along Smith Douglass Road.

In return for allowing Prairie Transportation to use the right-of-way, the city will receive a $0.10 per ton tipping fee for all commodities shipped — not just sand. The previous agreement pertained only to sand.

The original agreement dates back to an annexation agreement reached December 2012 between Prairie Transportation and the city of Streator.
