La Salle County officials to host a video conference panel on reopening businesses

La Salle County State's Attorney Karen Donnelly and Small Business Development Center Executive Director Amy Lamberrt will host a panel of experts on the reopening of businesses via a Zoom video conference 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 26.

The two-hour free virtual session will host various business leaders from the Starved Rock Country region sharing their insights, plans and preparations for reopening.

On the panel will be medical experts, mental health experts, a representative from the La Salle County Health Department, employment law attorneys, economic directors from various municipalities, elected officials across the county, and a representative sampling of businesses.

The meeting will be be opened to 500 participants, with questions to follow at the end of panel presentation.

Under modified guidelines from Gov. JB Pritzker, restaurants and bars may reopen May 29 in phase 3 with outdoor seating, retail, barbershops, hair salons, campgrounds, among other businesses.
