Police continue search in Starved Rock for missing Ottawa woman

Donovan's personal property found

Police continue to search Starved Rock State Park after a missing persons investigation led them there.

Tina Donovan, from the Ottawa area, was reported to the Ottawa Police Department by a family member as missing just after 4 p.m. Tuesday and a vehicle owned by Donovan was located in the Starved Rock Lodge parking area as a result of the investigation.

Ottawa Police Capt. Dave Gualandri said police have found personal property belonging to Donovan in the park and have begun a second day of searching at Starved Rock State Park.

Ottawa Police Detective Sgt. Kyle Booras said Thursday night police had searched "numerous" areas in the park but have not found Donovan.

Ottawa police are working with Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police to conduct a ground search and Gualandri said the Conservation Police has taken the lead of the investigation due to their knowledge of the park.

Search teams are continuing to search the park while detectives investigate all leads to determine her whereabouts.
