Joseph S. Grady, 29, Streator, was cited Thursday on State Street on a complaint of driving while license suspended. Grady was released with a court date.
Destinee Carrillo, 20, Streator, was arrested Thursday in the 2400 block of North Bloomington Street on a La Salle County failure to appear in court warrant for a charge of retail theft. Carrillo posted bond and was released with a court date.
Police responded at 3:24 p.m. Thursday to the 1700 block of North Bloomington Street for a report of a damaged vehicle window.
Police responded at 4:06 p.m. Thursday to the 1500 block of East Main Street for a report of a ring being lost or stolen.
Police responded at 6:41 p.m. Thursday to the 1100 block of South Bloomington Street for a report of a burglary. The incident remains under investigation.
Police responded at 7:21 p.m. Thursday to the 200 block of South Sterling Street for a report of theft. The incident remains under investigation.
La Salle County
Michelle Jones, 31, Marseilles, was arrested at 10:05 a.m. Thursday at her residence on a La Salle County warrant for a charge of felony theft of more than $300. Jones was taken to the county jail. Bond was set at $500.
David Wiederhold, 40, Oglesby, was cited at 4:55 p.m. Thursday at Route 23 and North 42nd Road on a complaint of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Wiederhold was traveling southbound on Route 23 when he struck with his vehicle a vehicle attempting to turn east onto North 42nd Road. Both drivers were treated and released by Leland EMS.
Shari Chapman, 43, Newark, was cited at 5:23 p.m. Thursday at Route 23 and North 42nd Road on a complaint of failure to yield one full lane or reduce speed upon approaching an emergency vehicle.
Ottawa firefighters responded at 2:54 p.m. Thursday to 635 Illinois Ave. for a report of a gas leak in a garage but the owner shut off the gas prior to arrival.
Ottawa firefighters responded at 12:36 p.m. Thursday to 900 Paul St. for an alarm set off while cooking.
Streator firefighters responded at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday to 606 E. Morrell St. for an activated alarm but no fire was detected.
Streator firefighters responded three times at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, at 7:53 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday to 609 N. Everett for an alarm set off by burnt food, an alarm set off by steam from the shower and another in which nothing unusual was found.
