Ottawa police to conduct bike auction Saturday

Ottawa Police Department will conduct its annual bicycle auction from 7:15 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the city storage lot, 1016 W. Superior St., Ottawa. Bidding begins at 8 a.m.

If a resident spots a bicycle they believe is theirs, it will be turned over to them upon presentation of proof of ownership. That could be a police report or a sales receipt.

In addition to bicycles, the city will auction a variety of miscellaneous items, including:

• Jewelry

• John Deere 850 tractor (3,211 hours)

• John Deere 345 tractor with mower (807 hours)

• Gas edger

• Estate 42-inch cut lawn tractor

• Trailblazer sickle bar mower

• Toro leaf vacuum

• Two JAD TRS 21 snowblower

• JD MC519 material collection cart

• Doors

• Saw

• Enclosed trailer

• Boats

All items will be sold as-is.
