I just reached 65 and am retired or should I say I’m just tired.
I used to get up full of pep but now the pep is gone and I just go back to bed and cover my head.
I guess I haven’t just retired but I also retired from living and giving.
When I worked at school I gave of myself to help the students in need, and I felt good at night knowing that I’d done my best to make the world right.
I’ve decided that retiring shouldn’t be a time to quit living but a time for giving more because you have all the extra time, more mountains to climb and more poems to rhyme.
God blessed me with good health and a reasonable amount of wealth so I have the time to do the things that god would have me do – and that is true.
