An Ottawa man was arrested Tuesday after police said he flashed underage girls the previous week.
Bradley E. Weaver, 58, Ottawa, was arrested Tuesday afternoon at his residence on complaints of two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
Ottawa police officers responded last week at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 6 to the 700 block of East McKinley Road for a report of an adult man exposing himself to female juveniles, according to Police Det. Sgt. Kyle Booras in a press release.
Police met with the girls as well as a parent and developed Weaver as a suspect. The investigation continued the next day when further potential witnesses in the area were interviewed before transferring the case to the La Salle County State's Attorney's Office.
An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday and charges allege Weaver exposed his genitals to a person under the age of 17 for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification.
Weaver was taken to the county jail. Both charges are Class A misdemeanors.
Bond was set at $200.
