A new women's boutique opened in downtown Streator.
Located inside 212 E. Main St., Primrose Boutique had its grand opening March 22.
Business owner Danelle Durdan Swartz wrote on her Facebook page that her grandmother Lee owned the bridal shop Treasured Moments in town, inspiring her to open her own women's shop.

Walmart in Streator will no longer be 24 hours
Streator's Walmart will no longer be open 24 hours a day beginning Saturday, April 27. New hours of operation will be 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Walmart no longer staying open 24 hours a day follows Kroger, which recently started closing at midnight instead of staying open all night.
Several other 24-hour Walmarts throughout the country also made the announcement to close at 1 a.m.
Blythe Flowers florist receives recognition
Blythe Flowers announced one of its florists received a statewide recognition.
Abigail Long has earned the title of Illinois Certified Professional Florist after testing in eight design and five management classes taught by recognized floral industry professionals.
Long received the certification at the Illinois State Florists' Association's Annual Floral Design Show in March.
