Scholarships available from La Salle County Farm Bureau Foundation

La Salle County Farm Bureau Foundation is promoting careers in the agricultural industry by offering two $1,500 scholarships.

One will be awarded to a high school senior who will be attending an accredited two- or four-year program at a college, university or vocational-technical school. The second is available to an individual currently enrolled in an ag related field of study. The scholarships are for the 2019-20 school year.

Eligible applicants must be a La Salle County Farm Bureau member or dependent of a member. A completed formal application must be accompanied with the individual’s current transcript and one letter of recommendation.

Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of several criteria. These include academic performance and honors, demonstrated interest in agriculture and agribusiness, financial need, evidence of self-help and character.

Applications are available at La Salle County Farm Bureau office in Ottawa or lcfb.org. All applications must be received by 4 p.m. Friday, March 29.
