Darrius Sanders, 20, Mendota, was arrested Monday morning at the police station on a domestic battery warrant. He was taken to the county jail.

Jamie Forbes, 43, Ottawa, was arrested Sunday at her home on a warrant for driving while license revoked. She was taken to the county jail.

Dusty L. Gabehart, 21, Seneca, was arrested Saturday in the 100 block of East Norris Drive on complaints of DUI, improper lane usage and no insurance. She was given a court date.

An unknown vehicle hit the rear of another vehicle in traffic at about 11:39 a.m. Aug. 7 at Columbus and Joliet streets.


A report was received Sunday morning a vehicle tire was punctured the night before in the 1700 block of North Baker Street.

Police responded at 12:56 p.m. Sunday to the 600 block of North Shabbona Street for a report of gunshots. However, residents in the area said they believed it was fireworks.


Thomas W. Anderson, 41, listed in Diamond and Marseilles, was arrested Sunday on U.S. 6 at Marseilles' eastern edge on complaints of DUI, driving while license revoked, speeding and obstructing identification. He was taken to the county jail.

La Salle County

A deputy responded to North Seventh and East Sixth roads, just north of Wenona, at 11:23 a.m. Saturday, where a vehicle had rolled over, with the driver fleeing the scene.

Fire Calls

Ottawa firefighters responded at 5:52 p.m. Saturday to 2719 Columbus St. for a grass fire at a retention pond.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 8:59 a.m. Saturday to 500 E. Etna Road for a fire alarm. They found a foam plate burned in a microwave oven.

Streator firefighters responded at 9:43 a.m. Monday to 1504 N. Wasson St. for a natural gas leak. They turned off the meter and called Nicor.
