LA SALLE COUNTY: New road closings listed

The La Salle County Sheriff's Office issued the following road closure information early Monday:

  • County Highway 36 (DuPont Road) is under water and closed.
  • U.S. 52 west of Mendota to County Line Road is closed.
  • North 35th Road east of Route 251 is closed to East 325th Road.
  • The Sheridan bridge is closed.
  • North 37th Road west of Route 251 is flooded.
  • East 14th Road by Indian Creek Bridge is flooded.
  • North 39th Road, a quarter-mile west and east of 1050th Road, is flooded.
  • East Fourth Road at North 3973rd Road is flooded, and also North 3973rd Road east of East Fourth Road is flooded.
  • North 45th Road at East 21st Road by the bridge is flooded, and also is flooded just west of County Highway 2.
  • Route 18, east of East Eighth Road, has standing water in westbound lanes.
  • Dee Bennet Road is closed.
  • East 2575th Road south of North 30th Road is flooded.
  • There is significant water on North 48th Road heading into Somonauk.
  • North 46th Road west of East 10th Road is flooded.
  • Barricades were knocked down on Route 71 and East 22nd Road. The Illinois Department of Transportation will be replacing the barricades.
  • East 27th Road north of North 19th road is barely passable.
  • North 31st Road and East 10th Road is under water.
  • Route 18 at East Ninth Road is under water.
  • North 15th Road east of East 22nd Road is under water.
  • East 20th Road north of North 15th Road is under water.
