Streator

Kendell Marshall, 20, homeless, was arrested at 8:37 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Frech Street on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant for possession of a controlled substance and forgery. Marshall was taken the county jail.

Cole Libby, 26, Streator, was arrested 3:44 p.m. Sunday at Shabbona and Broadway streets on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant for domestic battery. Libby posted bond and was given a county court date.

Fire calls

Streator firefighters responded at 12:11 p.m. Friday to 2322 Eastwood Ave. for an alarm caused by cooking.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 12:17 p.m. Friday to 900 Paul St. for an alarm caused by cooking.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 7:06 p.m. Friday to 900 Paul St. for an alarm caused by cooking.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 9:14 a.m. Saturday to 704 E. Glover St. Saturday for an alarm caused by a tripped breaker. Firefighters were unable to detect any smoke or fire.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 5:44 a.m. Saturday to 301 E. McKinley Road for a report of an oven overheating. Firefighters turned off the breaker heading to the oven and notified the staff the oven needs to be serviced.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 4:52 p.m. Sunday to 2701 Columbus St. for a report of a vehicle leaking gas. Oil dry was used to absorb the leak and the owner of the vehicle was notified that the vehicle would need to be towed.
