LIBRARIES: Library will be closed April 1

OTTAWA — Upcoming activities at Reddick Library, 1010 Canal St., 815-434-0509 and reddicklibrary.org, will include:

  • The library will be closed April 1, Easter Sunday.
  • Ready, Set, Read, a story time for children ages 3 to 6, will run from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 3.
  • Children in grades seven through 12 are invited to come for games, snacks and fun during a meeting of the Gamers Group from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 3. The library will supply Xbox, PS4 and board games galore.
  • The next meeting of the Italian Language Group will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 3. The free group is open to all adults wanting to learn Italian.
  • Shake, Rattle, Read, a musical story time for children 6 months to 3 years, will meet from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 4.
  • A Tween Scene meeting will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 4. Children in grades four through six are invited to the library for games and snacks. The library will supply Xbox, PS4 and board games galore.
  • Friday, April 6, will be Fine Free First Friday. Members can bring back overdue materials and the library will waive their fines.
  • The Loop Group will meet from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 7. Guests can learn to knit and crochet in a fun environment from knowledgeable people.
