Mary V. 'Ginnie' Keesee Williams: 1931-2017


STREATOR — Mary Virginia “Ginnie” Keesee Williams, 86, of Commerce City, Colo., formerly of Streator, passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at her son’s home in Colorado.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. Msgr. Philip Halfacre will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Solon-Telford Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Born Dec. 9, 1931, in Greeley, Kan., she was the daughter of Nicholas and Agnes (Karlskint) Ohmes. She married Donald M. Keesee. He preceded her in death. She later married James Williams. He also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Roger) McCabe, of Princeton; sons, Daniel (Sandy) Keesee, of Jacksonville, Michael (Deborah) Keesee, of Ransom, Philip (Ramon Robles) Keesee, of Commerce City, Colo., Jeffrey (Angel) Keesee, of Carthage, Tenn., Anthony Keesee, of Lakewood, Colo., and Tracy (Mary) Keesee, of Westminster, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and her beloved granddogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Wilma Bilyard; and brothers, Robert and Richard Ohmes.

Raised in Streator, she attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.

She was self-employed through the years as a bookkeeper and tax consultant.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish.
