FLANAGAN AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY
Flanagan American Legion Auxiliary met March 22. Marilyn Shields gave an opening prayer with a moment of silence. Connie Carls opened the meeting.
Ten members were present. Shields gave a report on the March 17 sale. Shields and Karen Durree were supervisors, with 27 helpers and bakers who put in 125 hours. Dues will be increased next year, $24 for senior members and $4 for junior members. Thank you letters were sent to Flanagan Bank, Lions Club, American Legion and Karen and Al Durree for their help with the sale.
Donations from last year were discussed. This year the club will donate to the Lions Club. Members signed a card for the Ron Umdenstock family. Easter cards were signed and will be received at Flanagan Rehabilitation.
There will be a meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, in Roanoke. Contact Gray if interested. Lunch will be $10 and there will be a quarter auction. In early April the club will judge Poppy Posters.
The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Flanagan Legion Hall. There will be a county meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, April 30, in Forest.
