Donna M. Tedford: 1942-2018


MARSEILLES — Donna Mae Tedford, 75, of Marseilles, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, March 17, at her home, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
Donna was born Aug. 3, 1942, in Marseilles, to Zach and Rose (Mann) Simpson. In 1963, she married Donald Ray Tedford, of McLeansboro, who preceded her in death in 2002.
She was a graduate of the Class of 1960 of Marseilles High School. She was employed by the sewing factory in Marseilles until her retirement.
She was an active and lifelong member of First Baptist Church.
Donna is survived by a daughter, Dea (Virgil) Keith, of Ottawa; a son, Darryll Tedford, of Marseilles; three grandchildren, Lauren (David) Grumieaux, Jenni (Robert) Hatala and Ryan Keith, all of Ottawa; five great-grandchildren, Raygan Hatfill, Chloe Hatala, Reese Grumieaux, Maddox Hatala and Mason Hatala; two sisters, Carroll Rivett and Judy (Don) Dropek; one brother, Robert (LilyMae) Simpson; and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; a sister, Ruby Rowell, on March 14, 2018; and four brothers, Raymond, Donald, William and Ronald Simpson.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Paul Rivett, Marty Simpson, Bobby Simpson and Danny Wilson; grandson, Ryan Keith; and her brother, Robert Simpson. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Lauren Grumieaux and Jenni Hatala.
Memorials may be given to the Marseilles Nursing Service.
