MAGNOLIA — The Magnolia Township Preservation Association Museum is now open for public visits at 110 N. Peoria St.
Programs will take place in the community room. For more information, call Peggy Smith, curator, at 815-257-0707, visit on Facebook or the new website magnoliatpa.com.
• Beginning 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, Sandy Woest will present an Underground Railroad program. Refreshments will be served.
• Becky (McGhiey) Richards-Seigman will reminisce on her days growing up in the Magnolia Township area, 10 a.m. Monday, April 9. She will get to see the museum for the first time by using the facility's newly installed handicap lift.
The lift was purchased with the generosity of the MTPA members and the specified donations to the lift fund along with the contribution of a board member Eleanor (Bunting) McCoy, who passed away.
