MARSEILLES — Howard Goodin, 90, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, March 18, at Pleasant View.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Kihwan Choi, of Marseilles United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Galloway Cemetery with military honors.
Howard was born Nov.12, 1927, in Knifley, Ky., to William Riley and Betty Thomas (Watson) Goodin. On Jan. 11, 1946, he married Bonnie Jean Wheeler, of Marseilles, who survives.
He served in the Army. He was employed by Nabisco for 38 years until his retirement in 1984.
Howard is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean; a daughter, Patricia Ann (Robert) Parkins, of Bozeman, Mont.; a son, William Howard (Janeen) Goodin, of Marseilles; a daughter-in-law, Sheila (Steve) Vincent; six grandchildren, John and Ben Goodin, Angela Vitale, Jeff Goodin, and Nick and Chris Howell; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry Kent Goodin; four sisters, Eva Schock, Nettie Smith, Pauline Renken and Ruby Schroeder; and a brother, Paul, in infancy.
Memorials may be given to Marseilles United Methodist Church.
