Ottawa 
  • Mark Nephew, 31, Ottawa, was cited Thursday at the police station on a complaint of battery. Nephew posted individual bond.
  • Matthew J. McGillen, 37, homeless, was cited Thursday in the 500 block of Illinois Avenue on complaint of trespassing on railroad property. McGillen posted individual bond.
  • Jacob Reinmann, 24, Ottawa, was arrested Thursday at Clinton and Jackson streets on a probation violation warrant. Reinmann was taken to the county jail.
  • Jennifer N. McGillen, 35, homeless, was cited Thursday in the 500 block of Illinois Avenue on complaint of trespassing on railroad property. McGillen was given a notice to appear. 
Somonauk
  • Kimberly M. Rice, 29, Sandwich, was arrested Thursday at La Salle Street and Hickory Loop Drive on complaints of DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper parking in the roadway, following an ambulance trip to Valley West Hospital in Sandwich. Rice was released on bond and given a notice to appear in court.
Fire Calls
  • Streator firefighters responded at 12:16 p.m. Thursday to 606 E. Morrell St. for a fire alarm caused by burnt food.
  • Streator firefighters responded at 11:11 p.m. Thursday to 609 N. Everett St. for a fire alarm caused by burnt food.
  • Streator firefighters responded at 9:21 a.m. Friday to 806 Oakley Ave., Knights of Columbus, for report of a dumpster fire. Firefighters discovered it was burning cardboard.
