STREATOR — Gerlaine M. “Toots” Decker, 84, of Streator, passed away Thursday morning, March 8, at Heritage Health and Rehabilitation Care Center.
Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 12, at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery. Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Toots was born Oct. 22, 1933, in Streator, to Samuel Mitchell and Frances Elizabeth (Faulkner) Cunningham. She married Raymond “Chub” Decker on May 20, 1961. He survives.
Surviving are sons, Greg (Bunny) Fisher, of Davis, and David (Brenda) Decker, of Streator; three grandchildren, Christy Fisher, Jacob Fisher and Lindsay (Jason) Tincher; five great-grandchildren, Aiden Vargochik, Sylas and Dash Fisher, Clayton Englert and Chase Hamara; brother-in-law, Clarence Shaw; and sister-in-law, Melva Cunningham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill and Glenn Cunningham; and sisters, Joyce Shaw, Nancy Szobar and Mary Jane Loy.
Toots attended St. Anthony Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1951.
