BRAIDWOOD — First-place finishes from Tre Rathbun (5-8 high jump, 20-9 long jump, 39-11 triple jump), A.J. Ramson (:07.63 in 60 dash, :25.43 in 200 dash), Rafael Pantoja (:57.39 400 run), Adrian Jones (5:09.12 1600 run), Bryce Peacher (42-3 1/2 shot put), the 800 relay team of Riley McCurdy, Coltin Grace, Kobie Webb and Ramson (1:42.28) and the 1600 relayers (Jones, Danny Rodriguez, Pantoja, Webb) led the Streator boys track and field team to a first-place finish Tuesday at a four-team meet held indoors at Reed-Custer.
Streator — which also received second-place finishes from Webb, Grace, Rodriguez and Xavier Dean — piled up 108 team points to runner-up Reed-Custer’s 68.
Sandwich 5th in 8-team meet
At Sycamore, the Sandwich Indians boys track and field team placed fifth of eight teams indoors, scoring 38 1/3 team points.
Dylan Baumbach (:54.16 in the 400) and Max Pinkowski (40-7 3.4 in the triple jump) both scored second-place finishes for Sandwich, with the 4x160 team of Seth Randa, Sam Brunoehler, Jayden McCulskie and Baumbach as well as the 1600 team of Randa, Brett Butler, McCulskie and Baumbach adding thirds.
