OTTAWA — Audrey Edith Grobe, 89, of Ottawa, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, at La Salle County Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, at Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with the Rev. John Walker, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Audrey was born Nov. 14, 1928, in Ottawa, to Earl and Elverta (Emrich) Kilgore. She was a graduate of Ottawa High School and business school in Chicago. Audrey married Edward L. Grobe on June 28, 1947, at the First Presbyterian Church in Ottawa, by the late Dr. C.C. McClelland.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; two children, Deborah (Glenn) Nanouski, of Ottawa, and Daniel (Cathi) Grobe, of Williamsburg, Iowa; three grandchildren, Lisa (Adam) Lemke, Jon (Janelle) Grobe, and Meghan (Daniel) Menzel; and six great-grandchildren, Payton Lemke, Kaiden Lemke, Keegan Grobe, Kara Grobe, Kinnick Grobe, and Arlette Menzel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Roberta Halm.
Pallbearers will be Jon Grobe, Adam Lemke, Daniel Menzel, Lisa Lemke, Meghan Menzel, and Janelle Grobe; her great-grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church.
