OTTAWA — Marjorie J. Hill, 87, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Pleasant View.

Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with the Rev. David Ufkes and the Rev. Sherry Stevenson officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.

She was born July 20, 1930, in Ottawa, to Nicholas V. Sr. and Besse (Kurtz) Allender. On Sept. 7, 1952, she married Ralph E. Hill Sr., of Ottawa, who preceded her in death in 2002.
Marge was employed by the sewing factory in Marseilles until her retirement.
She was a 50-year member of DAR, Eastern Star, 4H leadership and judging, Ottawa VFW Women’s Auxiliary, Home Extension and the Farm Bureau. Marge loved her crafts which included knitting, crocheting, needlepointing, quilting and many other varieties of handwork.
She is survived by one daughter, Becky (Darald) Piliponis, of Palatine; two sons, Ralph E. Jr. “Gene” (Dianna) Hill, of Ottawa, and Rodney E. (Colleen) Hill, of Cumming, Ga.; six grandchildren, Ryan Hill, Michael and Ryan Piliponis and Aileen, Celeen and Corey Hill; and six great-grandchildren, Harley, Payton, Michaela and Josalynne Green and Abby and Noah Piliponis.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Hill Sr.; three brothers, Nick, Richard and Ken Allender; and three grandchildren, Jessica, Kayla and Kelly.
