POEM: 'Sit up, look around'

  • Careful when walking
In the gray days of February
We must be vigilant and wary
    Of condition's underfoot
Where we walk, we must look!
There might be snow or ice
We could slip, not so nice
End up upon the cold, cold ground
    Sit up, look around!
No one in sight, what to do
If I can't get up, I'll turn blue!
Oh! Yes! I've got my phone
    Call someone, hope they're home!
    I sure don't mind confessing
My cell phone is such a blessing!
