LISLE — The Sandwich Indians didn't get the win in an Interstate Eight Conference makeup game Wednesday evening in Lisle, but thanks to junior guard Jimmy Braddish, they did make some history.
Braddish surpassed 1,000 career varsity points with a 23-point effort Wednesday in the Indians' 46-44 loss. Sandwich trailed 25-23 at the half.
Coal City 57, Seneca 40
At Coal City, the Fighting Irish couldn't overcome a frustrating start, not scoring in the opening quarter and trailing the host Coalers 27-5 at halftime.
The loss drops Seneca to 16-11.
Leland-Earlville 60, Midland 47
At Earlville on Tuesday, the host Panthers (10-15) received 16 points from Grant Campbell, Brennen Sweeney with 14 and Logan Stralka with 10 points.

At Peotone, the Bulldogs won the prelim to improve to 16-7 (8-1 Interstate Eight). Christian Bedecker scored 14 points, Mason Benning 13 and Greg Rashid 10 to lead victorious Streator.
