The Modern Woodmen of America members and members of the Streator community recently raised money for the Streator High School Band Boosters with a special trivia night on Nov. 10.

The event included $2,484 matched by Modern Woodmen through the organization's Matching Fund Program. Special honor was given to attending veterans and food donations made to Streator Stars and Stripes. The funds will go toward the purchase of new band uniforms for the Streator High School band.

The matching fund program offers Modern Woodmen members nationwide the chance to show their support for a community cause, organization or individual in need through fundraisers. These fundraising projects contribute more than $10 million to community needs across the country. Modern Woodmen is a tax-exempt fraternal benefit society that sells life insurance, annuity and investment products.
