The CoreNet Global Mardi Gras luncheon on Feb. 8 in downtown Chicago included a presentation on the business advantages of North Central Illinois to an audience of 120 corporate real estate executives
Brad Bruins, Debb Ladgenski, Emily McConville and Joni Hunt joined NCI Economic Development Corp. President Ivan Baker in promoting the region.
The event featured the presentation of the NCI development video, a colorful Mardi Gras theme with live Cajun music and a special program with the state economic development directors from Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.
Mark Hogan, CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.; Brent Case, senior vice president of business development for Intersect Illinois; and Elaine Bedel, president of the Indiana Economic Development Corp. all pointed out progress in their states and the significant importance of workforce development and talent attraction.
North Central Illinois Economic Development Corporation is 18 months old, and the only public-private partnership promoting industrial development in all three counties of Bureau, La Salle and Putnam.
