PERU — Janet A. Kurtz, 83, of Peru, died Thursday, Feb. 8, in Peru.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, in the Ptak Funeral Home. Chaplain Richard Hillenbrand, of Vitas Hospice, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Valentine Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, in the funeral home.
Janet was born Nov. 16, 1934, in Lostant to William and Veronica (Mertes) Weber. She married Raymond Kurtz on Aug. 29, 1959, at St. Valentine Church, Peru. She worked at Westclox and at the Steak 'n Shake restaurant in Peru. Janet then worked at the Palace Bowling Alley in La Salle-Peru for many years as a statistician for the leagues and a cook.
Janet is survived by her sister, Nancy (Arthur) Klieber, of Lostant, as well as several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000 and two brothers, Robert and Daniel Weber.
