John 'Jack' Baietto: 1929-2018


OTTAWA — John "Jack" Baietto, 88, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at St. Columba Church with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 1 p.m. He will be buried in St. Columba Cemetery with military honors being presented by Ottawa American Legion Post 33 Honor Guard.
John was born Feb. 16, 1929, in Ottawa, to Joseph Baietto and Margaret (Montgomery) Baietto. He served in the United States Army following the Korean War.
He attended Marquette University, where he received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and then a master's degree in business administration.
He worked at Lockheed Martin as a corporate manager. He was the youngest corporate manager in the company's history.
He was a member of St. Columba Church and Triangle Fraternity.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret Mary Baietto.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
