SENECA — The Seneca Lady Irish trailed visiting Dwight by two points after three quarters, but junior guard Abriana Jashari scored 11 of her game-high 16 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, in the final frame to help the hosts outscore the Lady Trojans 19-8 and pick up a 56-47 non-conference win here at Seneca High School on Monday night.
Senior point guard Lyda Robinson added 11 points for Seneca (6-4), while Arberita Jashari chipped in nine.
Putnam County 54, Somonauk 23
At Somonauk, the Lady Bobcats trailed the Lady Panthers 13-9 after one quarter, but the visitors outscored the hosts 17-2 in the second frame to take the non-conference contest.
"Putnam County was just too tough four us tonight," said Somonauk coach Garland King. "We let them shoot the 3-point shot at will and our offense struggled."
Katie Boczko led Somonauk (2-8) with 12 points and five rebounds. Ashley Eaton had five points and three rebounds and Sam Noble chipped in four points for SHS.
Rosary 44, Sandwich 34
At Aurora, the Lady Indians cut an early 18-point fourth quarter deficit to just six late, but came up a little short in their loss to the Royals.
Jaylynn Vana paced Sandwich (7-5) with a game-high 19 points, while Ezbeydy Rivera added eight.
Mooseheart 65, Paw Paw 25
At Paw Paw, the Bulldogs fell to the Red Ramblers in a non-conference contest.
Brandon Heiman led Paw Paw (2-7) with six points.
