A worker fell through the floor of a building undergoing restoration in downtown Seneca.
Seneca Fire and EMS responded at 8:42 a.m. Tuesday at 309 N. Main St., the site of the former Tropical Sno. EMS personnel was alerted to the incident by someone on foot and fire personnel was called in for assistance.
The worker fell from the first floor to the basement of the building under renovation knocking them unconscious, according to Karen Osmond of Seneca Fire. When the worker regained consciousness, they were able to climb a ladder — without assistance — that was placed down to the basement by responders.
The subject was taken to Morris Hospital for precautionary reasons.
