In attendance at the Dec. 5 Lions/Rotary meeting were Doug Bryun, Joanie Combs (honorary), Mick Garrison, Bill Kuiper, Hank Roe, Kent Terry and Don Weber.
Through the Rotary Club’s door-to-door drive and the Lions Club Casino Night $10,500 was collected for the Marseilles Nursing Service. The Rita Ingmanson family told how the Nursing Service provided care and support during the end of her husband Leo’s life. The family contributed $500 to the Nursing Service in memory of Leo.
Bill Kuiper’s daughter-in-law, Jennifer Kuiper, will present the next program about the Future Leader Dogs for the Blind. They have been training a six-month-old lab named Glory who will be in attendance as well.

Programs are Dec. 18, Christmas dinner at Congregational Church; Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, no meetings; Jan. 8, Weber; Jan. 15, Dar Poundstone; Jan. 22, Audrey Sherwood; Jan. 29, Terry; Feb. 5, Jane Beavers; Feb. 12, Bryun; Feb. 19, Kerry Caba; and Feb. 26, Gene Carlson.
