MARSEILLES NURSING SERVICE
During October the nurse for the Marseilles Nursing Service made contact with 44 residents. The majority of these contacts were in-home visits, along with office visits and outside clinics. Nine pieces of equipment went out on loan, while 22 previously loaned pieces of equipment were returned. Medical supplies were provided to two families in need.
Clinics for the remainder of the year are 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, Manlius Township building; 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 6, Nursing Service building; 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, Manlius Township building; and clinics at the American Legion in cooperation with Bridges and Alternatives for Older Adults will resume in January.
Through donations provided by the community, the Nursing Service is free to Marseilles residents. Donations were received in memory of Jon Baudino and Chuck Nicholson. The Masonic Lodge of Marseilles hosted a fundraiser and a check was presented Oct. 17. Also received in donation was a check from an Exelon employee who chose this organization for his community contribution.
Marseilles Lions Club will host its annual Vegas Night fundraiser to benefit the Marseilles Nursing Service from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18. Tickets are on sale at the Nursing Service for $10; or $12 at the door.
