CLUB - Streator's Leading Ladies

Streator's Leading Ladies met Oct. 19. Elaine Lee was welcomed as a guest.

Pam Riss introduced the speaker, Larry Goerne, who spoke about stained glass. He had a drawing for two sun catchers and the winners were Donna Stone and Valerie Mundt.

Dianne O'Hern conducted the business meeting. Members will sell small Kringles at Food for Thought on Sunday, Nov. 5, at Streator High School; and on Saturday, Nov. 25, sell large Kringles at the Holiday Market at Bruce Township. Proceeds will go towards the scholarship fund.

Members served refreshments Oct. 15-21 at the Engle Lane performance of "Sister Act." They will ring bells Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Kroger.

Stone won the 50-50, and door prizes went to Riss, Betty McCarthy, Beckie Chismarick, Debbie Spangler, Tara Bedei, Mary Ricconi, Elaine Lee and O'Hern.

Chismarick was recognized for her birthday. Condolences were extended to Valerie Mundt.

The next meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 16, at Chipper's Grill and all women are welcome. Stone will present the 6 p.m. program, “An Evening of Theatrical Magic.” Dinner will be at 7 p.m. The committee in charge will be Judy Feddeler and McCarthy.
