Lori A. Domkuski: 1956-2017


DALZELL — Lori A. Domkuski, 60, of Dalzell, died at 8:56 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at St. Margaret Hospital in Spring Valley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Dalzell. The Rev. Patrick Fixsen will officiate. Private burial will be in Valley Memorial Park. Visitation for Lori will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the church in Dalzell.

An additional funeral service for Lori will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Tonica United Methodist Church, with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Pastor Mark Nowakowski will officiate.

Lori was born Dec. 18, 1956, in Ottawa, to Donald and Hallie (Davidson) Roeder. She married Dennis J. Domkuski on May 22, 1976, at Tonica United Methodist Church. Dennis died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017.

She was a member of Tonica United Methodist Church and St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Dalzell.
She was a cosmetology instructor at Educators of Beauty for 27 years, retiring in 2015.
Survivors include a daughter, Sara (Justin Cheney) Domkuski, of Henry; a son, Dennis (Kimberly King) Domkuski, of Utica; her mother, Hallie (Dennis) Sergeant, of Peru; two sisters, Janine (Dave) Fieldhouse, of La Salle, and Andrea (Michael Altizer) Sergeant, of La Salle; a brother, Michael Roeder, of Sheboygan, Wis.; five grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and a great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Roeder; stepmother, Reda Roeder; a sister, Marlene “Bootsie” Roeder; and her grandparents.
