The Streator Parks and Open Spaces Board will soon send a survey to city residents.
The survey, which is expected to be mailed in the fall, seeks to gather opinions about what projects the board should pursue in the parks and open spaces in the community.
At Wednesday's monthly meeting, the board agreed to delay final action on a relandscaping plan for Heritage Park until after the mural is installed in September. The board agreed to remove what must be removed to install the mural and then make further plans after that.
The board also discussed updating the long-range trail plan, which is dated 2002. To be eligible for grants, the city must have an updated plan.
