Streator Tourism was recently awarded the Best Tourism Web site in Illinois for community organizations with budgets under $750,000.

The award was presented at the 23rd annual Illinois Governor's Conference on Tourism, which was held Feb. 24-26 at the Fairmount Chicago.

"It does a lot for us," Ed Brozak, of Streator Tourism, told The Times. "Among our peers it recognizes us."

The Web site, www.Streator.org, has a vintage scrapbook look. J. Rudny & Associates, Dynamic Web Solutions, updated the site's design.

"With this new Web site we have the ability to change things ourselves, keeping up the calendar and other site elements," Brozak said.
