Ottawa - Ryan T. King, 17, 728 Clancy Drive, Dalzell, was arrested Monday on a complaint of retail theft at the Walmart Supercenter. He was released with a notice to appear in court.
- Vanessa J. Wawerski, 17, 528 1/2 W. Lafayette St., was arrested Monday at Madison and Sanger streets on complaints of speeding, not stopping for a stop sign, consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of smoking materials by a minor. She was released after posting a $100 bond.
- Samantha L. Paolello, 17, 420 W. Grant St., Sheridan, was arrested Monday at Madison and Sanger streets on complaints of consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of smoking materials by a minor. She was released after posting $100 bond.
- Shane M. Sarver, 20, 817 W. Jefferson St., was arrested Tuesday at the Walmart Supercenter on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of domestic battery, and a Marshall County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was taken to the county jail.
Streator - A resident at 705 East Kent St. reported Sunday his garage had been broken into and personal property items stolen.
- A 15-year-old boy was arrested Sunday in the 900 block of Phillips Street on a complaint of domestic battery after allegedly battering another family member. He was released to his mother.
- A 16-year-old boy was cited Sunday in the 200 block of West Sumner Street for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released to his mother.
La Salle County - Tyson A. Rogers, 38, 1408 W. Jackson St., Ottawa, was arrested Monday at 1370 N. 35th Road on complaints of aggravated battery, criminal trespass to a residence and no valid drivers license. Deputies said Rogers entered the home and assaulted a man by punching, slapping and biting his finger. Rogers was taken to the county jail.
Fire calls - Streator firefighters responded Monday to an odor investigation at Centrue Bank, 201 E. Main St., where a burnt-out light fixture ballast was found to be the problem.
- Ottawa firefighters responded Monday about 3 p.m. to report of a rubbish bin fire at 423 W. McKinley Road.
