Ottawa - Lloyd M. Charletha, 20, of Ottawa, and Virjean E. Applebee, 71, of Marseilles, were in a two-vehicle accident Thursday at Norris Drive and Post Street. Charletha was cited for no insurance, no drivers license and failure to yield. No injuries were reported.
La Salle County - Francisco S. Ramirez, 23, 1977 N. 3103rd Road, Ottawa, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. Monday on complaints of unlawful possession of marijuana (between 2.5 grams and 10 grams), and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at Stevenson and Veterans roads in Ottawa. He was taken to La Salle County Jail, where he posted bond and was released.
Sheridan - Colter S. Kempiak, 24, of rural Sheridan, was arrested at 7:10 p.m. Friday at Si Johnson Avenue and Barr Street on a complaint of driving while license suspended. He posted $100 cash bond.
Fire calls - Ottawa firefighters responded to an alarm at 4:27 p.m. Monday at the Fox High Rise, 906 Canal St. Cooking odors activated the alarm.
