WATERLOO, Ill. (AP) — A southwestern Illinois judge has put off a decision on whether a televangelist can be sued for the deaths of her former security manager's wife and children.

On Friday, Monroe County Circuit Judge Dennis Doyle delayed until February a hearing on whether televangelist Joyce Meyer can be added as a defendant in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Sheri Coleman's family.

Coleman and her two sons were found slain in their Columbia home in May. Her husband, Christopher Coleman, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges.

Sheri Coleman's family wants to add Meyer to the lawsuit because they claim her ministry's leaders knew Christopher Coleman was having an affair and should have known he was behind fake death threats to his family.
