The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team arrested two men Tuesday on drug charges.
Print this storySheldon K. Le Meir III, 26, 104 Peru St., Princeton, was arrested for unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin and crack cocaine), a Class 1 felony. Also arrested was Matthew Hazelwood, 27, 205 Sandra Ave., Apt. I-4, Mendota, for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony. The arrests were made as part of an investigation into narcotic activity in the Princeton area. Le Meir delivered two bags of heroin and three bags of crack cocaine to an undercover police officer near Le Meir's residence in a Princeton municipal parking lot. After arresting Le Meir, police searched his residence and found more heroin. Police also arrested Hazelwood, who was at the residence. Items related to the dealing of drugs also were found during the search. Le Meir and Hazelwood were taken to Bureau County Jail. Two more bags of heroin were found on Le Meir during booking. |
