The driver who was involved in a crash that claimed the life of a Streator lawyer Wednesday has been cited.
Print this storyDavid DeFrance, 50, Canton, was cited on a complaint of disobeying a stop sign. DeFrance was driving an eastbound semi-truck that collided at 6:58 p.m. in the intersection of Route 23 and 17 with a northbound car driven by Richard J. Berry, 57, Streator. DeFrance was not hurt, but Berry died at the scene. The intersection is a four-way stop, about four miles south of Streator in Livingston County. State police handled the crash investigation. Berry was a lawyer with offices in Streator and Ottawa. |
