The identification of a man killed early Sunday in single-vehicle rollover accident near Sheridan was released Monday by La Salle County Sheriff Tom Templeton and Coroner Jody Bernard.

Robin T. Jackson Jr., 42, of Sandwich, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident in Northville Township on County Highway 2, just south of North 43rd Road. Identification had been held pending notification of next of kin.

Authorities said a preliminary investigation indicates Jackson was southbound on County Highway 2 when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy road and entered the west ditch and overturned.

The incident is under further investigation by the Sheriff's and Coroner's offices.
