A rural Ottawa man died Tuesday evening following a three-vehicle collision.

Shane W. Bailey, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on Route 71, north of North 31st Road in Rutland Township.

The accident occurred just after 6 p.m. Three other people were transported by ambulance to Ottawa Regional Hospital for treatment.

The accident is under investigation by the La Salle County Sheriff's Office and the coroner's office.
