Taylors are awarded each year to all incoming freshmen who were valedictorians, salutatorians or graduated in the top 2 percent of their class. The award is named for the late Helen Taylor of Peru who left more than $100,000 to IVCC in her will. Her bequest led to the creation of the Foundation in 1976 and has funded 252 scholarships since 1978.
